Today, I had a really nice time in the sun and grass with Marcus. Always a pleasure.
Mum went wild, I got better prints from Tesco.
I got shouted at by Michelle.
Bad things happened to a lovely, lovely girl.
I left my pendrive at college.

When I'm on trains

I almost always get spoken to by quite an interesting person or two, but not so interesting if they are drunk or smell bad. A while ago, it must have been January and I had been to Chorley pubs with Marcus. I was waiting for the train at 12:30 and an old man who drinks real ale started talking to me about phones and technology, and we got onto the subject of darkroom photography, he has lots to sell because he used to made enlargers as a profession! How interesting indeed. He said he would send me a book on darkroom photography and that I should go to a meeting held every third Tuesday in Barton or somewhere.
It took ages for him to send the book and I just got it! It's really nice :) His name is Ken I think. His handwriting is difficult to read, but it seems a charming letter and he has encouraged me to ask around if anyone would like to buy his equipment. Aww, thanks Ken, you're a keeper. I'm going to write back and ask him to send me some of his prints.

Today it is two months since Marcus and I became boyfriend and girlfriend, we spend nice times together. I was going to take a picture of Marcus in front of the charity shop that he bought McBain from a while ago, because it has closed down :'( but there were men inside.
Yesterday was the best weather we have had all year, it was really pretty to be out and about it, but I was in a bad mood and unsociable all day. Sorry.

Today we have an 'off day' but I still must go in and 'help out' at open evening. How tedious. This must be the down side of having only 4 people in your class.

Scratchy Tights.

Hello,
Nicola's birthday was a really nice day spent. We had our picture taken reenacting the time where I gave Nicola the flowers, we took pictures in the toilet of Nicola Duck's big 18th! We go some absolutely wonderful deals in Urban Outfitters. Bloody good stuff getting to the counter and the lady telling you that the jacket worth £55 was actually reduced to £9.99 :|!!!!!! We did some nice things in Selfridges and made each other laugh loads. Gussy wussy and Lindylooloo took us to The Livingroom which was just lovely! We had cocktails! I hope Nicola Young had a lovely birthday time, yeah.
Later, I got alot off my chest. Although the only thing I said I wanted from her was done by text. Not appropriate.

Today I went into Manchester with Michelle, Vicky, Susan and Amy to have a little shadowing session in doubletake studios. It was great! The lady I shadowed was really fun and we chatting loads about all sorts. THEN, we got our puppydog gay boy. He was all lovely and muffin like with his cute little eyes and blonde hair and suit from Tesco. Aw (L)
We went upstairs to retouching too, which was nice. Again just chat, chat, chat with Mike and I did abit of this and that on the computers, editted my favourite boy's pictures :) (his name was Alek). They turned out pretty sweetly :). He loved it! We came home and I photographed a portfolio for some girl in the textiles class in about 10 minutes, SWEET QUICK WORKING BABY.

Here are some of the photographs I took in regards to this post...bits and bobs :)

Ida.

Nothing much has happened, or it has and I will remember later.

We have a new downstairs toilet which is nice and white and clean. It's really shiney and makes me not want to do my business in there...didn't stop Barnett, mind. ¬¬

I give in my college work, finally! Ready and it's all finished and I worked really hard on it, she gave it back. I was fuming. She wants me to do an 'extra' final piece, as if I don't have an fmp to start. She called me clever after that, which hasn't happened since high school! She also compared my fmp idea to magpies. So the title of the project will have something to do with magpies in it :)

That night, Marcus and I went to Coda. It was really funny the way people were dancing and most people were very friendly, although on the whole, they looked smacked up on drugs. I liked it, until we shamelessly got kicked out. Sorry Marcus D:
Too, too drunk.

*printing is taking fucking ages*

The next day I went and bought a box portflio, the man was very gentle and kind helping me out and showing me how it works, he even gave me 10% off. He said 'I could knock 10 % off for you' and I said 'that is really kind, thank you very much' and then we had a chat about the troubles with credit card machines when you're serving customers. It's a hard life.
I also bought a top which I later found out and a massive gaping whole in the back :| I didn't even realise when I was buying it that it was part of the dress. I was in Nicola's house when I put my arm through it in astonishment.
It was Nicola's Party and some people were incredibly rude. INCREDIBLY rude and disrespectful by ruining something really precious to Nicola Young. I actually couldn't believe what I was hearing, to know a 'friend' had been so malicious and full of this hateful intent. It made my blood boil. I hope she understands how upsetting that must have been to find. Utterly horrendous behaviour.
On the other hand, the rest of the people there were really charming and were involved in non-destructive activities, like dancing and making jokes and being respectful to Nicola and her family.
Cheeky, cheeky uncle andy was doing his naughty, naughty business again, on top form this time for the birthday girl :) Bev was a saucy Vixon as usual and Angus was the resident DJ...westlife, good choice Gussy. DJ GUZZYBOI.
It was a nice night :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOUNG'N

Today I am going into Manchester with Nicola Young for her actual birthday event. Which will be very nice :)

BEEFY,

I haven't written in a long time which was brought to my attention the other day. There is a lot to report, I just don't have the patience.

My sister's birthday party last Sunday was wild. Where was she finding these bowling champions? Skill in 5 little 13 year old bodies. It was incredible. They got a little bit excited, mind. Drinks were spilling, texts were flying back and forth, jokes were being cracked like eggs none stop! I loved it :) Mum and I definitely had a favourite in Emma, oh yeah.
Frankie and Benny's is an unusual place, no? I hadn't been before that visit. It was quite nice :) Man Boob City in the photographs on the wall though, sheesh! Best veggie burger I have ever had. Happy Birthday Young'n!

Back to college, worst few days of my life. Awful, awful, awful facilities 'available'. I think the btec first years/a levels who don't care about photography should stick to digital because there isn't much they can do to fuck up the macs, but there's an awful lot at stake in the darkroom/tank room. And they're doing everything they can to ruin it for the second years, who have important work to be doing. You can redo first year work. I think they should fuck off (given a few exceptions, i.e Kathy, Tom and Josh :)!) . So I had a few pretty bad experiences, and realised my beloved Pentax might be dieing (NOOO!!!!!) :(:(:(:(:( please, please, please no :'''(

Friday was nice. The end of the week. Couldn't bring myself to be disappointed in everything for the third day in a row so I skipped my lessons and sat in the Library from 9:30-2:00. Took loads of notes on Diane Arbus, which was pleasant. I think I quite like her earlier stuff, and learning about Doon and Amy, too. They were little cuties, I can tell you!!
That afternoon, Marcus and I went back to that cute little book shop in Leyland. The man who owns it was relentlessly rejecting a woman and her books.
'oh but surely your customers would be interested in a book on Polish culture?!'
'no they wouldn't.'
And with that he made her walk away with three bags fulls of hugely heavy books. (L) After she had gone, he said 'sorry you were dragged into that...' to Marcus and I.
We went to the upstairs area and Beefy Botham happened.

After this, Nicola and I spent quality time eating mediocre food and drinking mediocre wine. We went to the cocktail factory which was really pleasant. It was all quiet and nice beverages were served. I had a bloody lovely time.
This time next week she'll be an adult, and and angelic one, too! Excited :)
